*Grin* That was heart-warming. I loved the flash-forward and how Aragorn came back to remember his old friend. I also loved the line "Now he realised, saving lives was more satisfying than taking them." Perfect. I really enjoyed this story because it develops the healer persona of the king, which, arguably, may be more important than the warrior. I like to think the duality is what makes King Elessar unique. I'll continue exploring your stories! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed this glimpse of the future. I love writing Aragorn as healer.I think the duality makes Aragorn unique too.I'm hoping to publish another adventure for these two very soon.

This is great! Thank you for recommending it to me. And you were spot-on with my favorite part of "Full of Surprises," though of course I totally forgot to say anything about it in my review. I could just imagine young Ragnor's dreams of one day saving his Captain's life in some fierce battle. I love how the tables have been turned on the young man, and he is saving Aragorn's life in what may be perhaps a more dramatic turn of events. I'm eager to read the conclusion once the Captain wakes up! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed this story too. Ragnor did indeed get his wish in a very unexpected way!

Ah--wonderful that they share this memory, and that Ragnor finally realized who his Captain and patient was meant to be. And that Elessar remembered him and sought him out--exactly what I'd expect from the King Returned! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed this glimpse of Ragnor and Thorongil's reunion. Sorry I only just got round to replying to your comments.

I suspect that such an experience was almost inevitable as Thorongil led his men through battles in the defense of Gondor. Ragnor doesn't yet appreciate the significance of the ring worn on a chain about his Captain's neck--perhaps he eventually shall? Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you enjoyed this story.Ragnor will eventually learn all.

It's great to see Aragorn as king, when all his wishes have come true. Trust him to remember Ragnor, and be grateful to him. That's one of the reasons he is such a great king. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you liked the way the story ended and felt it true to Aragorn.

Linda, this is a most lovely and bittersweet tale, which illustrates very subtly Aragorn's plight when fought as Thorongil for Gondor. You've done a great job of depicting his loneliness and his longing. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm delighted you enjoyed the story. Thank you too for letting me know I forgot to include Aragorn. He should be there now!

our dear ranger can count himself lucky for having such faithful man/friends, but it´s not really surprising for the amazing character he is. Thank you for such a wonderful story.
