The Omen  by Kara's Aunty 4 Review(s)
AntaneReviewed Chapter: 1 on 7/8/2011
Love Frodo and Sam being seen as moonlight and sunlight - how neat and beautiful is that - I can just see it. Le hannon, cousin!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Hello m'dear,

they are a bit moon-shiny and sun-shiny, aren't they?

*hugs the hobbits close*

Glad you enjoyed it, cousin!

The imagery here is gently beautiful and sad. Yes, he foresees an ending to his current happiness, although there is a hope beyond it he perhaps cannot see as yet.

Author Reply: Hello Larner,

absence makes the heart grow fonder, or so the saying goes, Whether this would be of any comfort to Celeborn while he was parted from Galadriel ... who knows? I think her absence probably spoiled what pleasure there was to be found for him in Middle-earth.

Poor sod!

Thanks for R & R-ing,

M ;)

This is very sad. well done!

Author Reply: Hello ellie,

a sad time indeed. I wonder if he suspected something like this might happen if the Quest was successful. How tormented his thoughts must have been if he did! The prospect of losing his wife (however temporary) versus the though of leaving a world that he wasn't quite ready to let go of ...

Poor elf!

Thanks for R & R-ing,

M ;)

A lovely and poignant little piece...clever premise too!

Author Reply: Hello Armariel,

thanks. Poor Celeborn. In one way I feel sorry for him, being parted from his wife, yet in another way I think 'It's not so bad - Elrond and Celebrian were parted for centuries and you only have to wait 60+ years.'

Which is a sort of holiday, really (for an elf) ...

THanks for R & R-ing,

M ;)
