Petal  by Armariel 90 Review(s)

I love that Sam sang that song to Frodo even before he sang it in the Tower. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I always wondered where he got that song in the first place. :)

How sweet that Petal helped him to find his voice at last! Wonderful!

Author Reply: Isn't it wonderful when we find what we need to set us on our path? :):):)

Ohhh, you've outdone yourself with this one. What a marvelous and utterly lovely 'back story' for Sam's songs, and how the magic wove inside him to bring out exactly what Frodo needed to hear, exactly when he needed to hear it.

Author Reply: Thanks so much shirebound! Coming from you, that means a lot. :):):)

I just meant the 'no shoes' part would be discriminatory :) I agree it wouldn't be good to be shirtless.

Author Reply: Don't think you'll find that sign in hobbit country.;) They're more likely to have a sign saying NO SHOES ALLOWED.;)

Ooooh, that makes me scowl fiercely at all the iron in our lives. Sweet fairies, doing their best in a changing world!

Author Reply: Nassssssssty ironses, we hates them! :):):):):)

Along the lines of discrimination, I think 'No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service' is against hobbits. Haven't seen any of those signs recently, so maybe people wised up. :) Butternut reminds me of me with all my complaints against the wrongs of the world and what should be done and being ignored.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Except I don't think Butternut is entirely sincere about his wish, and wants to eliminate iron for selfish purposes. However, his crush on Petal might end up making a better Fairy of him eventually.:) Actually I think hobbits usually wear shirts...and if they didn't, it might not be such a good thing;);)

She must be secretly giggling at the poor fairy lad! Heh!

Author Reply: Still it must be flattering to have a young fairy crushing on you...and maybe he'll grow up someday and be a fitting mate in reality...it could happen. Ya just never know. Then again, maybe not. I have an idea, but not sure what it is yet;)

Thanks as always for commenting Larner!

You have me laughing out loud at the tricks played on the two greatest of the Wizards! Heh!

At least Gandalf has a sense of humor....

Author Reply: Which is more than we can say for Saruman, alas. How differently things might have played out if he had been endowed with that faculty! Thanks again for commenting Larner! :):):)

What a sweet, gentle scene. Dear Gandalf, being amused and enchanted on a lonely night.

Author Reply: Thanks Shirebound! This little vignette was inspired by a picture I saw on Facebook. But I couldn't access it from the original site!
