Stopping By Woods  by Jay of Lasgalen 11 Review(s)

That was a fantastic story and I believe you wrote another story of one of the twins about that old ladys house. We shared ghoststories too last night at dinner with my brother and one of my friends. I could tell you one real story from an eerie encounter my brother had some years ago.But it takes up too much space 😀Thanks for the cosy creepy feel.. the same one I felt last nite after dinner. Best regards from Sweden..

I like to write clear, helpful reviews, but I love this story so much that I don't really know what to say. I usually stay away from ghost stories since I'm easily spooked, but this one was fantastic. It was creepy, but not TOO creepy (as I look over my shoulder.) *grin* I'm very intrigued by Halthor, and I want him to come back, though I "know" he will not. Thank you for sharing and drawing me into your story. I enjoyed it very much!

I enjoyed this all the way through and then you completely surprised me at the very end. Bravo!

I loved this! I was beginning to suspect that Halthor might not be what he seemed about halfway through, but getting the confirmation when he vanished, and then Gildor telling them that they'd been sitting alone just gave me goosebumps! (I also very much liked Elrohir's story about the old woman in the forest.)

I have yet to read anything of yours that I didn't like, but this one is going high up on my list of favorites! Well done!

Well, I recognized Elrohir's tale right off and Rimmon's tale was just downright creepy, but Halthor... ooh boy! That was brilliant. Thanks for a great ghost story.

Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad you liked Halthor. I didn't want people to guess too soon who he wasn't.

I knew it I knew it I knew it! :) As I was going towards the end of the story, I knew Halthor would be the ghost elf.
Excellent story, I enjoyed it very much. :)

Author Reply: *Grin* I'm glad you worked it out, but I hope it wasn't too soon!

*shivers*

There's such a timeless aspect to sitting around the campfire telling ghost tales and the twist at the end of this one was brilliant! It might be a very long time before poor Estel can find sleep...

Author Reply: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this, especially the twist in the tale!
