| Ah, but I can SO see these two situations happening--the father who is afraid to accept his son's "gentler" gifts for fear that son will lose focus on the need to protect the realm demanding such a sacrifice, while the lord and friend who recognizes that gift and that the father secretly was proud of it now encouraging him to express it as often as possible.
