Saelon needs a good whack side of the head! And Damrod with him.

How often must Haldir prove that he knows of what he speaks. Whether Saelon can understand why, he should give Haldir the benefit of the doubt and believe him.

I can't bear that Haldir is literally lying to his and his friends' children. I understand why, but the repercussions can be so disastrous.

I am not happy that the Lothlorien Elves' time of happiness is coming to an end. You are a fiendish writer.

Good chapter. Waiting for more.

Author Reply: Saelon has gotten complacent over the years and overly arrogant over things he doesn't understand because they have been strong and stood up to all dangers so far and haven't had to move in many ennin. I also think he is scared to suddenly be finding himself in charge of three settlements instead of one and the terrors being described to him are really too fantastical to believe from his perspective.

As for the sons of the Lorien elves...The six already know that their claims about their past were not believed and were deemed hallucinations brought about by injury when they first arrived. I think the six have lived a dream in Celos Galen and are scared themselves seeing it in danger of disappearing forever... I don't think they ever intended to tell their sons what Haldir just told them - at least not while they were enjoying their time in their own little paradise.

I am fiendish, but I am very pleased that you are still reading and looking forward to more :-)

Thanks so very much for reading and reviewing!

Another excellent chapter. In the end Haldir is going to have no option but to tell this younger generation when he and his fellows came from; they are getting too close to asking the right questions...

Author Reply: They are too curious and too smart for the fathers' own good aren't they? The apples did fall from the trees...:-)

I'm pleased you are still enjoying this story.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

A difficult thing--to hold that one truth from their sons, that they come from a far distant future. And they know that even Menegroth will one day fail, which is another truth they cannot now share. What appears to be foresight is actually long memories simply displaced in time and space.

Author Reply: You hit the nail on the head. It would betough to be the guys from Lorien right now knowing what they do and not being able to do much about it.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!
