Luckily, nobody dies. And it seems they finally can work together. Or do they do so only in dire circumstances? Only time will tell, but I got the feeling the mutual appreciation will last for longer.

Author Reply: It would have been very bad for Haldir if anyone had died. Fortunately they did come to appreciate each other. Yay them!

Phew! I'm glad I read on. Now I can sleep tonight.

Really great last few chapters. Very short tempers and frayed nerves and good action scenes. Loved it all.

Author Reply: Sleep is good. It leaves you rested and ready for the next chapter to be posted :-)

I'm glad you enjoyed the last few chapters even if Haldir surely didn't! LOL!

Wow! A few minutes of planning, then lots of furious battle. It was certainly good of the orcs to release the elves from the spiders, wasn't it? And good that all of the parties are now working together. It is interesting to think about the future possiblities for many whom they have come to know there. And we wonders, precious, have Haldir's own parents been born, yet? What happens if he runs across THEM? So many fascinating questions can come up when one plays with time!

Author Reply: well, you know orcs can be helpful sometimes...not that many occasions immediately come to mind, but there a re a few out there in history like this one. LOL!

There are many possibilities for the future. Haldir and his buddies were born in Lothlorien, I can tell you that much. You'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out...muwahahahahaha

Well, popcorn at the ready for this chapter ;)

I liked the comments about Thranduil. Must be odd seeing one of the most powerful elves they know acting so unimportant. No wonder they are concerned: killing off he and Celeborn would just about change the entire history of Middle Earth! No Legolas, no Arwen... wow.

Nice to see the elves finally getting along and hopefully Haldir's son finally learning an important lesson.

Author Reply: Hope you remembered butter for the popcorn :-)

Yeah...they would just completely rewrite their own histories if they let Celeborn and Thranduil died. no pressure there!

we'll see how well the lessons were learned.

Aww, nice end of the chapter. I'm glad no one was killed.

Author Reply: Thank you! it is always nice when no one has to die for folks to come to an understanding. LOL!

Hooray! Finally, cooperation and mutual appreciation! At LONG last! About time! And we are grateful to one another for the right reasons!

Excellent!

Author Reply: It is unfortunate that it took something as terrible as this for everyone to try to start getting along and more fully appreciate each other. But there you have it!

Whew! That worked out well.

And I am so glad that Celeborn and Thranduil were not eaten!

Author Reply: Yeah, it would have been rather bad all around if Celeborn and Thranduil had been eaten. Interesting paradox it would have created as well. yikes!
