Nice to see the Gamgee lads and you too, my dear! Love Sam's words about how each was so special.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Been a while, hasn't it? Glad you like the story and thanks for commenting Antane! Yes, I should think Sam would consider each of his children as special as the last, handsome or otherwise. As all good parents do!:):):):)

Ah, and what a trick that was to pull on him, the equal of the dampening of the spirits of the two brothers, and equally needed at the moment, I'd warrant! Heh! Delightful, my friend!

Author Reply: Yes, I imagine it took him down a peg or two...just as the Goatclosets with their well-deserved baptism! LOL Glad you like it Larner and thanks for commenting!:):):)

Oh dear, poor Merry won't outgrow that nickname if he lives as long as the Old Took... or Bilbo. What a cute story. And now I wonder how embarrassed Frodo was when Butterbur read out loud that he was 'fairer than most'.

Author Reply: At least it didn't go to his head! LOL Nope, I suspect Merry-lad is never going to hear the last of that title...even if, as I suspect, the hobbitess had him confused with Pippin-lad, as Sam noted.

Thanks for commenting Shirebound!:):):)
