The Light Bearer  by Linda Hoyland 7 Review(s)

Oh my...This was so lovely Linda. It truly is amazing at times what misheard directions can end up becoming, isn't it? Loved, loved, loved this and how like Aragorn to feel guilty for not paying more attention to this portion of his realm. Me thinks Thingol will be receving regular visits from either Aragorn, Faramir and/or representives of the realm from now on and deservedly so at that.

Really loved this and how fitting is it that I read this the day after meeting my one and a half month old Great Nephew Parker for the first time yesterday? I wish he and his Mommy (my niece) and Daddy didn't live in Toronto and were so far away so we could see him more often. What can you do though but cherish the time we do get to see him and hold him and spoil him rotten. :oD

Thanks for such a lovely story and I have to join the chorus, this really is one of your best works!! :o)

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm delighted you enjoyed this story so much.It was inspired by an incident that happened at my church and the nearby one which my friend goes to.

I'm sure Aragorn or his representative will visit Thingol often in future.

Wishing much happiness to you and your family and little Parker.

You already know how much I liked this story, but I'm sure you won't mind hearing it once again.

I especially loved the way you made Aragorn turn Turambar's gratefulness into a way of helping the needy. That is very much like Aragorn to my mind.

I rejoice that two children benefited from Aragorn's visit, and even more afterwards.

A beautiful story and well deserving of the Teitho placement!

This is truly one of your best stories, which is saying a lot since your stories are so lovely! I'm especially warmed and heartened by reading such a hopeful, giving tale on a day where the news is full of such senseless tragedy.

I have failed these people for too long

How like Aragorn to take the blame for this! I'm so happy for these parents, and all the folk of this land. How I love your stories.

What a wonderful story from beginning to end. Weighty matters handled with a delicate touch. Truly misfortune is no observer of estate. One of your best Linda and well deserving of first place.

What a beautiful story: one misunderstanding followed by another, yet both resulting in better fortune for others!

I'd love to learn what came of these children in the future!
