I thought immediately of Neil Gaimon's "Stardust." I am so glad she has survived and will fly again above the world. Saw one falling star that broke into a line of golden fire, then two and finally three as it breached our atmosphere out over Canada. It was so beautiful! Thank you for this one--I so rejoice Gwaihir arrived in time. Author Reply: I haven't had "Stardust" in mind when I got the idea for this, in fact, I didn't remember it until Fiondil mentioned it yesterday, in his review. I believe that it was the approaching season of Perseids meteor shower that had inspired me. Thank you for your kind review, I am glad you like it. :)

Ohhh, what a magical story, and such a lovely ending. Legolas will perform few deeds in his life as worthy of song and story as this one, yet he probably will tell very few people about it. (Perhaps a tale for Gimli, as they sail West.) Author Reply: Thank you! And yes, I believe Gimli would enjoy this story... :)

This was a delightful and unusual tale and it got one of my votes at Teitho. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm glad Legolas was able to rescue the star. I bet no one will believe him when he tells them the tale, assuming he ever does. It rather reminded me of the excellent movie, "Stardust" in part. Thanks for sharing, Ellynn Author Reply: Oh yes, now that you mention it, I remember Stardust, I've seen it. ;) Really nice movie. Thank you so much - both for the vote and this kind review. I am glad you like it. :)
