| The idea that she must have married beneath her is so sad. For Aragorn it must hit home the more strongly because he, too, has set his sights on one seen as far above him. Tarostar must wonder at times if he truly fits in with those who raised him as his parents. |

An interesting origin story for Tarostar. It seems that Ecthelion's wisdom did not extend to his family life; poor Firiel. Sensitively written, as usual.
