Another sweet little vignette, my dear cousin! It is nice to see you around a little more often. Hope springs eternal that more will be coming. :)

Namarie, God bless, Your bloom :)

Author Reply: Hello smelly bloom,

I was going to tyoe fragrant bloom, but 'smelly' made me smile more ...

*chortles*

It's nice to be seen, I must admit, though you might still have a wait on your hands for a new chapter of you-know-what. That fic demands more attention than I can give it just now, and I'd rather not make a mess of it in my haste to post a new chapter. Rest assured that I shall get back to it, though! Glad you're enjoying these wee offerings in the meantime!

Thanks for R & R-ing, cuz.

You paint such vivid pictures in my mind, with your unkempt figure gesticulating wildly, and the silent soaring... Thanks!

Author Reply: Hello again Lindelea!

Well I'm really pleased you're enjoying the drabbles so far. And the choice of words :o)

Thanks very much for R & R-ing,

What a fantastic idea for a series! Sweet Bill, so sad to think animals were abused even in Middle-Earth. And the Eagles have long been a favorite of mine. I wish we knew more about their society.

Thanks for the great stories, I'll look forward to seeing more when you add them! I'm so happy I found your works.

Have a great day!

Author Reply: Hello Kevana,

it is a pity they didn't have the Middle-earth SPCA to look for those poor abused animals. Still, at least Bill had Sam. And lots of kind-hearted (and, frankly, quite yummy) elves to soothe his many injuries.

The Eagles are fascinating. Don;t think Tolkien elaborated too much on their race, but I do recall stumbling across a fanfic that explored their society in a bit more depth (it was really good, too). Naturally, I read the fic so long ago that I can't remember what it was called or who wrote it ...

*sheepish smile*

Thanks for R & R-ing, and for your lovely feedback!

"Most assuredly not the view,"

Great reply!

And I like the choice of words in this drabble.

Author Reply: Hello Andrea,

crikey! I didn't realise I forgot to reply to this review - I'm so sorry!

Ah, Gandalf's so droll. Even when his life's in peril, there's still a hint of acerbic wit about him. Which is nice, 'cos it helps to lighten up an otherwise very dramatic moment!

Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks very much for R & R-ing, m'dear.

Hooray! I love Gwaihir! A good exchange.

Author Reply: Hello Larner,

thanks very much! Gwaihir is magnificent, and really very noble and brave. He deserved a chapter honouring him, methinks!

Thanks again for R & R-ing,

M ;)

"Most assuredly not the view," croaked Gandalf

Love that. This is a nice scene.

Author Reply: Hello shirebound,

even stranded at the top of Orthanc, Gandalf never loses his dry wit, eh? What a man!

Thanks for R & R-ing,

M ;)
