| I love the thought that the Ents had visited Harad! I wonder if Treebeard and Quickbeam ever mentioned that visit to Marry and Pippin? It's too bad Frodo never got the oppourtunity to talk with Treebeard, he'd have loved hearing their legends! Thanks again for another fantastic vignette! :) Author Reply: Well, it was said that the Ents traveled far and long in search of their lost mates, so wouldn't they have gone south as well as east, north, and west? I agree about how sad it is that Frodo didn't get to visit with the Ents, too. And thank you for your feedback! | |

| Oh, so nice! I like the idea that the ents travelled all the long way to the south, to teach the people how to grow their trees. :) Author Reply: Seeing planned groves in Harad, I'd think that the Ents would suspect that they'd been preceded by the Entwives, and would ask as to whether or not the people of Harad might have been taught by their missing mates. | Oh cool! The search for the Entwives as told by the Haradri. I bet Sohrabi was very surprised when Aragorn described meeting the Ents in Isengard. I bet the first thing Sorabi did when he got to the Valle of the Sun was to hunt up that obscure temple and take another, long look at the frieze. Author Reply: Oh, I'm certain that he would, too. And wouldn't some of the Ents have gone south in their search, as well as east or north and west? One more going up today.... | |
