I love this humorous yet beautifully written piece! Good job in how you portrayed Arwen; I love the slight prejudice she has against men and how she thought Luthien was a bit foolish. Very refreshing!

Well, he has almost as much Elvish blood in him as she does, come to think of it. And she could do far worse than Aragorn son of Arathorn, also known as Estel.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. He could indeed do far worse!

Greetings, Dear Lady! It is ten minutes before midnight, Rocky Mountain Daylight Savings Time, and I just got home from closing the restaurant. On the car radio on the way home I had been listening to a BBC World News broadcast, and the reporter gave the Greenwich Time. I started thinking about the time difference between, and trying to remember how long it had beeen since I read one of your stories late at night, only to have you reply to my review in the early morning where you are. And, what do I find when I sit down to read a bit before sleep! I enjoy seeing Arwen's mindset here. I am sure that to her, all of those young boys over the centuries must have seemed boringly alike. And, I have always wondered about that remark of hers, "but perhaps my fate may be the same as hers..." Indeed, what would have possessed her to say something like that? That was a clever idea, "foster some Dunadan maidens who would have been more suitable companions". But one wonders, doesn't one, Precious, if Aragorn would have fallen for one of his own kind, even if she were plunked down in the middle of Elrond's gardens. Best Wishes.
