This is beautiful. I love the repeated phrases that frame each scene.

This is exquisite, Linaewen!

I really enjoyed how seemingly simple but evocative your language is here.... And how the mood changes with the scenery, or is it vice versa?

Beautifully done!

P.S. I used to make MEFA banners, and I have a (blank) one available that shows Boromir's funeral boat from the movie. If you'd like to use it for your story, you're welcome to download it from here:

And a square version is here:

Author Reply: Thank you so much for reading! Thanks, too, for the offer of the banner. The links for it didn't show up here at SoA, but I knew where to go to find it in the MEFA banners collections. I've downloaded it and will definitely use it with this story!

Absolutely stunning. Indeed, poetry in the form of prose. Well done, Linaewen!

Ah ha! Another Boromir tale from his mistress.

Hauntingly beautiful. Each 'stanza' perfect in its place. I love the change of scenery while the thoughts of the warrior ever yearn for home. And the boat, the now loyal 'Elven' boat cradles him to the end.

Lovely. Just lovely. Simple yet exquisite.

Beautifully done. Poetry in the form of prose. Begun in hope, transitioning through desperation and sorrow, and back to hope once more. Lovely!

Truly lyrical, Linaewen. A beautiful worn indeed, and I rejoice that the boat brought him home in the end.
