I think I'd rather face a Nazgul than an angry goose. You aren't kidding, they're vicious rascals when they get in a temper! Swans are even worse. *shudder* Sure, they're pretty...pretty mean.

Love this look at what the Rangers were up to in guarding the Shire. It's amazing that the Hobbits never knew what was lurking outside their borders, it says a lot both about the nature of Hobbits and how good the Rangers were at their work.

Indeed, the time comes now at a gallop. At least he has shown that he is able to do what is necessary to bring one back from the depths of the Black Breath. And he knows WHY they guard the Shire, of all places.
