| Ah, poor Frodo! Of course it's difficult for him, and not seeing Merry all the time it's easier to imagine him as younger than he really is. And poor Merry not wanting to hurt Frodo's feelings has been less than open. Glad to see he finally explained, and once he did, of course Frodo understood. (My brother is 8 years younger than I am, but due to the fact that we so seldom see one another, I still imagine him in my head as about 14. It's always a shock to see what he actually looks like, even though I really do know better.) | |
