oh this was so sweet and what a great coincidence to tie together. Beautifully written. And i love the last part of Pippin wanting more pies, haha!

Lovely fic! I love it a lot- very heart-warming and so sweet. Loved that last part with Frodo and Gandalf reminiscing of Bilbo and also knowing about Sam's good news. Author Reply: Thank you! The Fourth Age for our hobbits will always be for me a very happy and healed time for them. I like the idea of Gandalf being a sort of "go between" for information, and always there for Frodo no matter what.

Hmm...interesting. Nice to think of Bilbo having a namesake, whatever the reason... :-) Author Reply: This was a strange little tale, but fun to imagine.

I'm glad that Frodo was able to keep up with his heartbrother's family and know that he was an uncle again. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: It's such a joy to write about Tol Eressea in the ways I imagine would give the hobbits (and their friends) a happy, loving life.

A lovely way to wake up on a frigid Friday morning, Shirebound. So, old Bilbo's been reborn? Or at least that seems to be what is implied here, or maybe the old codger just nipped over for a brief visit on his way to the Timeless Halls to see the new baby? Whatever the case, I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. Happy New Year! Author Reply: Thank you. As to Bilbo... I like leaving that up to the imaginations of the readers. :) I know a lot of you are waking up to frigid temps this week! Happy New Year, and I wish you a wonderful (and creative) 2014.

Wow! I think Gandalf summed it up perfectly well: “How extraordinary. Leave it to hobbits to still surprise me at a pinch.” So, Pippin was right after all. What a lovely idea :-) And the song at the end (from The Hobbit, I think) fit in just perfectly. Author Reply: I'm so glad you liked this, Andrea. Thank goodness for the endless prompts and plot bunnies that keep us inspired.

Such a sweet, nostalgic story....and Gandalf being aware of the newest Gamgee and being able to share the news with Frodo....just perfect! Made me happy to read. Thank you for sharing! Author Reply: Awwww, thank you. It's the happy, gentle stories that inspire me the most.

I'm sniffling back a few tears of my own after reading this. Love your approach here! There's so much untold story for the post-war hobbits who stayed in the Shire, and this was tremendously touching. Sam and Rosie and their brood are the sweetest. I'm so glad that one way or another, there's a Bilbo in Bag End. It just wouldn't be right otherwise. And Frodo knew his dear friend's good fortune despite their long separation – it doesn't get much better than that. Beautiful story, shirebound! Perfect for a cold and rainy day. Take care, lots of warm wishes to you and yours! -Kevana Author Reply: What a lovely review, thank you! I'm so pleased this story moved you. Our beloved hobbits *all* deserve a happily-ever-after, whether in this life or... whatever comes after.
