| A story as sweet as the hobbits' cakes, but not as sugary. Aragorn has had a lot to be grim about in his life; it is nice, and fitting, that he show his great happiness with a smile. | It is a delight as always to read about Faramir. :) I love that scene in the book of him waking to see Aragorn there. And I love Pippin's insistence to send hobbity love to their king. | "He is smiling now," said Pippin. "I think it is the happiest smile I've ever seen!" And it is no wonder that it was so! After all Aragorn waited a very long time for this moment. | This was adorable! I love Pippin chiding Faramir about his appetite, but being perfectly willing to eat the Steward's share of the cakes. And insisting that Faramir give the King their *love* and not just "greetings". And I am very glad that Pippin now knows why Aragorn was waiting to smile! Author Reply: Thank you so much.
