I just loved this. Poor Aragorn. You capture the bond between him and his mother beautifully. Would love to read more.

Author Reply: Thank you so much, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And heh, I do actually have a next-day sequel that's abotu halfway written...I couldn't get it together in time for Cairistiona's birthday but I might try and put it up sometime in the future!

At the moment I doubt that being spared is what Gilraen wants--or needs! A lovely look at the relationship between mother and son.

Oh, this is awesome. Sweet, and funny, and a little sad. Aragorn's recitation of his names made me laugh so hard. And Gilraen... <3 It's so awesome seeing her interaction with her adult son like this.

Author Reply: Thank you so much! I have lots of <3-related emotions w/r/t Gilraen, and I was really happy to get to fill a prompt about her and her adult son. I'm glad you enjoyed this! :)

Very, very nice! I love seeing Gilraen getting a chance to "baby" her grown son.

Author Reply: Thank you so much! I imagine she had very few chances to do so as the years went on, but that would have made those opportunities all the more important as they came.

Awwwwww!!! I'm melting!! What a terrific little tale. This is just exactly how I would expect Gilraen to act if her son showed up in need of care--very level-headed and calm, no hysterics and no words of despair. And Aragorn is so Aragorn in this, wanting to drag himself all the way around her house so she won't see him! How typical! He never even thought about the consequences of doing something like that and her finding out... she would have skinned him alive! LOL Thank you sooooo much for fulfilling my birthday wish with such a great story!

Author Reply: Heeeeeee, you are so very welcome, I'm so glad you liked it!! And HAH, you're totally right...she absolutely would have skinned him alive if she found out about that!! :D

Lovely story, but so very sad. Great job in describing the surroundings. Thank you

Author Reply: Thank you so much! I feel like most encounters between Gilraen and Aragorn in their later years had to have a touch of bittersweet to them.
