Indeed, how like her Father, to quietly but confidently step up when there is work to do. After learning on the quest that he himself was capable of more than he thought possible, I am sure that Sam taught his children to always keep stretching. And this would not even be much of a stretch. Directing half a dozen kitchen maids would not seem that different from guiding younger siblings and cousins at home. And, as others have said, this will be an accomplishment she earned on her own merit, not just because of her famous parent!

Lovely! And the reward of a fine pony -- you know if it comes from Rohan it's going to be the best of the best. No, you don't want to get Samwise the great Elf-warrior riled at you! (And yet, now, I can almost imagine a comedy of errors where someone kidnaps Elanor for her cooking abilities...)

"She is a Hobbit," said Aragorn. "Cooking is in their blood." And that is how Elanor saved the day! Very nice story, I enjoyed it a great deal!

"You have me," said a soft voice. "There is no need to cancel the dinner." What a delightful story! It's a pleasure to see Elanor finding a respected place among the Greats all on her onw.

This was a really good story. I love it when a hobbit, especially one so young as Elanor is, can save the day. Happy Easter to you as well. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm delighted you enjoyed this and how Elanor saved the day.Happy Easter.

What a delightful story! (Though I feel sorry for the cook's poor mother and Niniel's broken leg; poor things, sacrificed to the exigencies of plot, LOL!) Of course Elanor would come to the rescue--she is quite clearly her father's daughter! And yes, Sam *would* wage war on his daughter's behalf--but I'll bet Rosie would be even more terrifying! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm delighted you enjoyed this, especially as you write Hobbits so well. I can reassure you that everyone made a full recovery. Yes, Sam and Rosie would save their daughter.
