A good time was had by all, obviously. Poor Goldy, having to remain separated from Faramir. Hope she is good on the way home.

Author Reply: Poor Goldy, she just can't help herself where Faramir is concerned. ;)

Brilliant suggestion, Ellie!

It's the little details like this one that bring your stories to life:
Pippin stopped playing with the piece of grass he’d been twirling in his fingers and looked over at his cousin.

I like Merry's solution to the pony problem, and Pippin's "I so hate it when you're right -- but you're right."

I suspected the source of the mystery needlework entries, for it makes a great deal of sense (and now I would love to read a Cormallen fic from you), but I also wondered if perhaps they were Bandy's mum's and he was somehow honoring her memory with the entry.

The All-Shire games sounds like a great plan!

Author Reply: Ellie really is a smart lass.

Glad you like it when I remember to throw in those little bits about what the characters are doing while they're talking. I think it's something I actually don't do enough. :)

The pony lessons are going to come up at least twice. And Pippin really wishes he could get one up on his older, wiser cousin at some point. He's not jelious but he is just a tad envious.

I have one Cormallon fic, but it's from the earliest days that they are there and ends right when Pippin wakes up. I may have to write more from that time when I get this story done.

I'm hoping the All-Shire games get written in about chapter 18. Hoping, hoping, hoping.

Thanks for the wonderful, encouraging review.

“Stubborn, too,” answered Pippin.

“That would be Tooks,” answered Sam.

And Gamgees. And Brandybucks. And Bagginses! (Which thought I'm sure occurred to them--which is why they all laughed!) *grin*

What a lovely chapter! I look forward to seeing that visit to Buckland; Merry was quite right about the solution to the pony question.

I am enjoying this so much!

Author Reply: That was exactly why they all laughed. :)

Yeah, I'm going to have to write that trip and the bunny took a little sideways hop in my plotting the other day, so this may be even longer than I originally foresaw. I just wish I could get a little bit de-stressed, if you know what I mean, so that I could concentrate for long enough to get a large chunk written.

I'm glad you're enjoying this. I'm having a good time writing it. It took me long enough to get around to it, didn't it? :)

A sweet fair time for them all, it sounds like. Glad Pippin won his ribbons, and that Merry's offering good advice on obtaining good ponies for Pippin's lads.

Author Reply: Thanks, Larner.

I thought this chapter was never going to get finished. I'm glad it turned out to people's liking. Something tells me I may have started writing the longest thing I've ever written. I've got to see it through since I've started posting it. :)

Thanks for the encouragement.

I enjoyed the fair, and all the details of this fun time, very much. And what a marvelous therapy for Pippin, learning handcrafts. I was happy for his win. :)

Author Reply: Thanks. I remembered after I posted the chapter that I needed to mention the first author to have an idea like this. I did credit Pearl Took with coming up with Pippin knitting. Of course, I was thinking more of latch hook and crochet. I think I spelled that right. :)

I'm glad you liked the chapter. Hopefully, if real life doesn't beat me down in the next few weeks, I get another chapter out in less time than this one took.
