| I like the way you show Morwen working. I think that's much more realistic than the sort of Victorian lady in the drawing room picture contemporary writers sometimes have of nobility on the land. Glad she's getting some help. Author Reply: Hello Daw, Morwen definitely did not read the heroine handbook and even if she had, she'd do what she wanted. The historical reality is that life was difficult and busy for everyone in a household; everyone had to work. I wanted a heroine who enjoyed her life's work, with a few obstacles in her way.
