This is like reading a great mystery. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Torel and Prem are good reminders that even Evil is never all black, or all white. They are well drawn, and real to me. Torel reminds me of a young ruffian in Lindalea's older story "A Matter of Appearances." In the story, Pippin's then 10-year-old son, Faramir, and his escort are attacked by ruffians intend on ransom from the Thain's rumored fortune. The escort is left for dead, and Faramir is taken. One young ruffian, though proves not to really be a bad man. He tries to protect Faramir, and in the end as rescue approaches and a fight breaks out ends up taking an arrow while protecting the lad. Your Torel stikes me as one who wandered out of rebellion, and a search for adventure, not out of a bad heart. Now to see how our two elves get out of this one!

Author Reply: I'm so glad you are finding the OCs to be believable! And yes, Torel was not a bad person, per se. Just misled.

I've not read anything by Lindalea, but it sounds intriguing.

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! :)

Jasper is a person whose parentage should be condemned! Poor Torel! Or at least I assume it is Jasper who's attacked the youth! Too bad that Aragorn and Gimli didn't realize what's up in time to stop it, although perhaps Torel hasn't quite given up the ghost as yet.

Author Reply: Jasper is one nasty person. Are Aragorn and Gimli there? I don't do a lot of cliff hangers but I must admit this is one of my favorites. ;)

Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
