Hurry, Aragorn and Gimli! At least Legolas arrived in time to stop the rape.

Author Reply: They're coming! :) I couldn't let that happen, now could I?

Thanks for reading!

One more comment. You get the award for impressing us with the serious nature of rape to an Elf, but have done so discretely and with restraint. For them, it was indeed a violation of a SPIRITUAL nature. Nicely done.

Author Reply: Thank you!!!! I've seen it handled so poorly in so many stories! I find the implications of what impact such an act would have on an elf that Tolkien told us is something I'm interested in exploring. Although not in this story. I think I'll save that for the character studies I have planned for another character.

Thanks again for reading and commenting! :)

"Novice mistakes, indeed." Now, will the tending Caeri was able to give Legolass be enough to keep him strong just long enough? And, oh, Brigus, Brigus, are you really as bad and brutal as Jasper? Do you realize that Jasper would kill Prem, too? Hmm, odds now. Jasper, and Brigus, and the twins, against a bound, brutalized Caeri, a just beginning to heal Legolass, and two able bodied warriors who may or may not be close enough to get there in time. It is NOT looking too good for the good guys at the moment! And, you know just how to build the suspense and leave it hanging! I wonder, tho. Rani was able to pick up the knife and carry it to Legolass. Could she, perhaps, slip in during the fight and, say, untie Caeri? Gimli can not see her, and he is a good-hearted person. I really doubt that any of the ruffians could see her either, unless she wanted them too. Hmm, perhaps while Brigus and Jasper are busy fighting poor Lass, Prem might try to release her. Oh,oh! While he is trying to release her while the others are distracted, perhaps Jasper sees him, and goes roaring over to stop him. Perhaps bellowing something about "do I have to stop you like I did that fool Torel!" THAT might be one way for Brigus to learn the truth. In the mean time, HURRY, Aragorn and Gimli!

Author Reply: I think the tending Caeri gave Legolas will have to do as it appears Aragorn and Gimli are not to be found yet. O_o

I believe Brigus is acting out of anger and grief, trying to push his own blame under those emotions rather than facing the fact that Torel is dead because of his own selfish greed.

I have no doubts Jasper would kill Prem as well, but hopefully the boy is alert enough to prevent that.

Rani has her own agenda. Although, I do believe she would interfere if she had to, but would rather Legolas be the one doing the rescuing, because...well, she has her own agenda!

No, the men won't see Rani. She wouldn't want that. Again, it all boils down to she has her own agenda in all this which comes down to who she is. But I'll let Arwen tell that story in a few chapters...

Your musings about what could happen are very entertaining! I could have used your help when I was writing the story the first time around! :) But the tale is complete and just needing editing and polish. Patience! Aragorn and Gimli are VERY near by! :)

Thanks so much for reading!
