Aww. This was sweet. It was good of them to take him seriously and help him out, rather than try to explain that he didn't need one, or some such. Very nice, thanks! Author Reply: Thank you. I hope this small ceremony was meaningful to Eldarion. I loved imagining it. :)

*squeal!!*. This is so cute and also so true too. Just as I'm sure llittle Estel wondered why he didn't have an "El" name (and I've read a couple excellent stories about that too), it just makes sense Eldarion would wonder why he didn't have an "Ar name" like his Father and on down the line. Love the name and Ceremony that Aragorn and Arwen came up w/ and I'm sure Eldarion never forgot it either. Lovely thought that much later, Eldarion decides to do the same to his own son. A Family Tradition of sort. :o) On that note I think I can now try to get some sleep. As a Game of Thrones fan, it was a very big night!! :oD. I only imagine the Party that's still going on in Dublin over it all. And Season 6 starts filming Tuesday...OUCH!!! It's never happened to me, but the combination of Hangover and jetlag does NOT sound like a fun thing to experience. Really, really loved this little look into what Family Life might be w/Aragorn and Arwen. :o) Author Reply: Thank you, Tigger, and it's always such a joy to hear from you! I love the questions youngsters can ask, and it's fun to imagine a scene like this. *hugs*

“Even mother has an Ar-name,” Eldarion pointed out. What a sweet little story! I like it very much. Author Reply: Thanks, Andrea. You know how much I love 'sweet'! :)

I rejoice that he has received a name fitting to him that binds him to his father's own people. Delightful request by the wise child. Author Reply: Thank you. Raising a child with as many Gifts as Eldarion must have had, his parents probably needed to be on their toes constantly and be ready for anything!

Suilaid. Very well done, mate. Enjoyed it short and simple and straight to the point. Tis a pity ze Prof never did let us know how many daughters Aragorn had and their names and description of their bios. More please like this. Cheers Author Reply: Thank you so much. Thank goodness for all of the Professor's gaps, and the joy fanfic authors find in filling them. :) You might also enjoy "Ring Around the Rosie", another short 'n sweet ficlet including Aragorn and Arwen (and hobbits).

Thank you for this story! It is absolutely precious. I love how Eldarion's parents took a very childlike observation and request and turned it into something truly meaningful, a way of connecting him with his past while also teaching him something about leadership as a matter of care and protection rather than domination. Very lovely indeed. By the way, I could relate to Eldarion's initial plight, as I was the only person in my immediate family whose name didn't start with the letter C. I definitely remember wondering about that and pointing it out to my parents! Being of a somewhat less elevated lineage, however, they just assured me it was coincidence, and not a slight. :) Author Reply: I appreciate your kind words very much. Ceremonies, large or small, can be very meaningful for children, as is being taken seriously by one's parents. Thank you for sharing your own experience!
