The Accidental Book Club of Bag End   by Grey Wonderer 9 Review(s)
LindeleaReviewed Chapter: Prologue on 3/22/2024
How I love a clever Prologue.

(I miss your writing, but I understand from personal experience how whimsical - or do I mean capricious? - the bunnies can be. Now that I have time for reading again, I'm revisiting old favourites and discovering new ones. Is there any chance you might republish the Yuletide stories to make them permanently available? Or did you, already? I will have to look.)

I don't know if or when you will see this, but I'm sending warm thoughts in your direction all the same.

I know you probably won't see this, but just in case, I want you to know how much I enjoyed it. When I realized what you were doing, I laughed out loud, and I didn't stop giggling until the end. (Even though I agree with Merry's view.) I know you've moved on, but you should know your stories are still bringing joy to others. Namarie, and God bless you.

Author Reply: Ok, I wasn’t expecting to find a review here. Thank you so much! I know you left this a year ago so I’m sorry for the very slow response. Still, if you are out there checking your emails I hope you know that your review brightened my day.

I really have missed those prologues!

And although I haven't seen the third part yet, I'm going to read this story, because:

It takes great effort to ignore something properly once you’ve seen it. ;-)

Author Reply: LOL Hello there, Andrea. It's been a while but I'm glad to see you still have your sense of humor. Thank you for risking the read in spite of the spoilers. You've saved yourself a lot of effort by not ignoring this. hehehe

Yay! Glad you wrote something and are posting it. I, for one, have missed you.

I have the feeling I'm going to love this because of some of my feelings about "The Hobbit" movies. You are one of the funniest and most creative writers I know. Even your prologues are good. :)

Can't wait to see what happens here. Please post more. We miss you.

Author Reply: Hi, Garnet! I miss you too. You aren't around on LJ much anymore. Miss seeing you there. (Hugs)
This was odd. This story came to me all at once and I haven't been in the mood to write anything all year. This was it. I hope my muse is back but you just never know. Glad you enjoy my prologues. I like to have fun with them.

Oh how I've missed your prologues! You made me grin. I'm so glad to see you posting hobbits again! YAY!

I am eager to see just what spoilers there are...

Author Reply: Thank you! So glad you got a grin out of this. I like to *play* with my prologues. lol
Hope you enjoy the story.

I hope your muses are kind and you can continue the story.

Author Reply: I hope my muse sticks around a while too. I've really missed writing. Thank you for the good wishes.

Oh, but it's wonderful to read something by you again, GW! Quite the thrill, in fact!

Author Reply: Well, thank you. Hope you've been well. I've missed writing and posting so I'm crossing my fingers that the muse has returned. We shall see. Good to hear from you.

Ha!

It has been so long since I have had the delicious opportunity of reading and responding to a Grey Wonderer prologue! Wonderful!

Wishing holiday cheer (and all that) to you and yours.

Does this mean that you have unhidden your holiday tales once more? I must go and seek them out, if that is the case, for a good re-reading.

Author Reply: Hi, Lindelea! Thank you for reading the prologue. I consider that a welcome home kind of thing when you stop by. It's very encouraging to see a dear friend. Hope you and your family have a wonderful New Year. And yes, the holiday tales are unhidden at present. I try to remember to get them out of hiding every year in December. Last year I forgot but this year they did make it out. : )

You know I always read the prologues, lol. My, this all looks so flippin' tiny from from a Mac's point of view! I had used a PC before.

You still have it, GW. :-) All this put a smile on my face. Guess my potty-mouth is catching up to me, because I think I saw a cuss word, but hell if I knew what it was.

Author Reply: Hey, new computer? Very nice! My nephew has a Mac and they look brilliant! I'm sure you will find a way to adjust the font. New tech is always a challenge but I know you are up to it.
Well, look at you joining in on the prologue's naughty beginnings. lol I love it!
Thanks so much for reading.
