Golden Lord of Gondolin  by Nieriel Raina 3 Review(s)

Every time I think of ants any more it is the story of Arthur in the ant colony from T.H. White's "Book of Merlin" that I'm reminded of. "Oh, there's that Mammy, mammy, mammy song again!"

Author Reply: LOL! Thanks for reading!

Oh this is delightful! Full circle has come the lesson and, while Glofindel may not think of himself as much more than a warrior and strategist, he also is a good teacher. I really loved the image of him lying in the sun, ants on his arm, watching them moving to and fro and a little Estel sitting close by for the lessons on being a Man and a King. :)

A bitter sweet venue. I imagine that Estel learned many things from Glorfindel over the years of his growing to an adult. And probably beyond. I liked how you showed that not all knowledge is learned in books and that much can be taken from nature.

Author Reply: Yes, I imagine that given Estel's heritage, he would have learned much from Glorfindel, and I can't help but think elves especially learn from the world around them.

Thank you for reading!
