A delightful little scene. I can see Aragorn escaping to a tavern now and then and Faramir's musings are revealing to his upbringing and assumptions about the king.

The King was far wiser than he had imagined. Definitely! Thanks for a bright start to my week.

It'll be interesting to see what their relationship is like when Aragorn and Faramir do become friends. Author Reply: I've written a lot of stories on the subject. Their friendship begins in "Shadow and Thought" and appears in many other of my stories such as "Sing for your Supper."

Now when he again beheld Aragorn's kingly glory, he was filled with awe. His heart was overflowing as he cried, "Behold the King!" I was so disappointed that the 'book' coronation was changed for the film. *sigh* Every bit of information Faramir learns about his king helps him to understand Aragorn much better. This is a nice scene. Author Reply: I agree with you about the coronation. Such a pity and now many folk think Aragorn married Arwen when he was crowned. I'm pleased you like this story.
