I love slice of life stories like this, stories that revolve around the lives of ordinary folk rather than one that's about adventure and drama. The description of food made my mouth water but its a welcoming description because it lends to the warmth of the fic. Hope to read more from you in the future=)

Mae govannen, mellon.

Love this short story of yours!

To know she had a happy ending was good despite her losses in life.

More please!

I was very impressed by your short story, the interactions held a note worthy depth and I was left pleasently suprised. Please keep up the good work. I would suggest going pro, but I can do without further competition. ;)

Author Reply: Haha! I am touched. I do consider going pro at some point. ;) At the moment, I simply write for fun and amusement of it. Thank you for your compliment. :D

A most worthwhile return he has sent her in memory of her kindness to him.

Author Reply: Indeed, and I suspect it even better than all gold and silver he has to offer. A cook prefers his or her trade more than anything. :D Thank you for reviewing!

A touching story. I was sure the elf In the beginning was Legolas. It was a pleasant surprise it was Thranduil instead and shows a much warmer side to his character then is usually written.

Author Reply: Not many people write Thranduil, or at least a softer version of him. It baffles me from time to time. Thank you for leaving a review! :)
