Sorry for wriing the reviews all at the same time, I've been meaning to do so for so long but was so busy. I'm enjoying all of the exchanges between our protagonists. Looking forward to the next chapters on how their relationship unravels.

Author Reply: Hello whitewave,
I had a bit of a shock when I checked my emails this morning ;-D Thanks so much for taking the time to review! As you can see, their relationship is only moving along slowly, but then both of them have been hurt and are wary of risking their hearts again. You know me though - we'll get there eventually!

I love this chapter. It had the beginnings of a better understanding between Eomer and Lothiriel. Although it began with a misunderstanding, it ended in harmony. Eomer did not have a chance to spoil their understanding. He really should stop "assuming" anything about Lothiriel. She will surprise him.

Author Reply: Yes, definitely a better understanding. And as you said, with Lothiriel asleep, Eomer couldn't put his foot in it ;-D

Now, hopefully he's beginning to appreciate that Lothiriel responds well to being included in all the typical Rohirric activities, including helping the foaling mares!

Author Reply: Yes, perhaps he's slowly realising that the 'Gondorian noblewoman' is not all there is to Lothiriel! Sometimes he's not the quickest off the mark ;-D

Another thoroughly absorbing chapter! I was never really a fan of Eomer, (I adore Aragorn), but you have made him such a sympathetic character that I see him differently now. I know all is going to turn out well when all the misunderstandings are sorted out, but please take your time and keep the story going for a lot longer!

Author Reply: I like them both, but I have to admit I lost my hear to Eomer the first time I read the books (many years ago now!). And what's really nice is that we know next to nothing about Lothiriel, so that opens up so many more possibilites than with Aragorn and Arwen.

And don't worry, there will be plenty of chapters before their misunderstandings are sorted out ;-) Aragorn will actually make an appearance in one of them, so you've got an additional treat to look forward to (at least I hope you'll like my Aragorn!)

A lovely chapter! The horses and the tension, that you can show so much without dialogue is very pleasant. And the end is just right.

Author Reply: Thank you! I enjoyed writing the scene with the horses - glad to hear you liked it too!

What a delightful chapter. I loved seeing Lothiriel with the horses.

Author Reply: Thanks! I've long had a fascination with the Mearas, though Tolkien doesn't tell us all that much about them.

Eeeeee!!! I love absolutely everything about this chapter! You usual, beautifully vivid character portrayals and so many wonderful interactions - the Lothiriel/Northwind one especially. And a smug Northwind - that just takes the cake...

Oh - and I didn't mean that I want to see Lothiriel's POV now (I love the tension of how you're showing us it all from Eomer's perspective), but after this was done - to see some of the things/situations through her eyes. Guess that's where reader's imagination comes in! :-)

Author Reply: Thank you! I think Northwind only came in so they could fuss over her wonderful son and he'd get propery admired ;-)

And I see what you meant about Lothiriel POV. But they will have an open talk - eventually... - to show what she made of the whole situation.

Thanks for reviewing!
