I like that. I think you've caught very well one of the puzzles of Aragorn. I don't think he can just abandon who he ahs been for so many years even though he will become more Elvish with the coronation and his marriage.

How Aragorn must treasure these lighthearted conversations with the hobbits, knowing that they love him for himself, and not for any title. :)

This is very sweet and charming! I love the hobbits' reactions to Aragorn, especially "Mister Strider,um your kingliness, I mean..." As someone who is very easily flustered, I have a lot of empathy for poor Sam!
