As beautiful as a Rohirric tapestry. Have not read your offerings before. Hooray, more things to read. Thx, in your infirmity, for sharing.

This is just lovely Avon. It is nice to see something of yours here again but sorry that it is a bad back that is providing the time.

This is absolutely lovely.

Glory trailed him and peace bathed him as he farewelled his beloved land.

What a marvelous way to show us how the lyrical people of Rohan passed along their stories and histories orally. I'd love to read more of these.

Author Reply: Thank you. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost my LOTR writing mojo, in fact I'm barely writing at all. A bad back has gifted me with enough time to try and make sure I've got my stories in my different archives.

How beautiful! I love the mix of poetic language and heartfelt feeling.

Author Reply: Thanks, Daw.

Ah, but it is well told, the pictures painted in words vibrant and strong. The boy's uncle saw his brother's funeral boat pass by, certainly; and Eomer must have grieved for the one he last saw leaving Rohan for the north upon a horse probably gifted to him by Theodred, a horse that returned without its rider.

Lovely imagery here.

Author Reply: Thank you. I wanted to show that Boromir, like others who die, still has his space in his family, even in the family that has grown since he died.
