Yeeey, there's more of it, as you promised!

Thank you, thank you so much for taking the time to write how it went on the side of the rescuers and how they solved the puzzles of Estel's (mis)adventures. I am going to love reading these just as much as I loved it the first time around. I just wish the story would go on and on and on....

And I love this chapter even more because of the affectionate interaction between Estel and his Elvish family, his Adar, his brothers and Glorfindel. What a pity that Dorhaur wasn't awake to witness all that, just to erase all his initial suspicions about the story Estel first told him.

Author Reply: You're welcome! :-) I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to this bit as well -- really, I've enjoyed the whole thing. It's been a good time....

Thanks so much for reading and for your comments!

Well reasoned. And Dorhaur recovers under Elrond's supervision. I hope he appreciates the honor shown him.

Author Reply: Yes, it definitely took different pieces of the story from many sources to get things all worked out...

Thanks so much for reading and commenting!

Oh good. I was afraid this story was done.

I liked seeing everyone jointly work out what must have happened, though credit needs to go to Elrohir, I think. It's amusing that Elrond didn't know how nimble Estel was on a roof. I suspect Estel took care to keep his skill out of Elrond's and Gilraen's sights.

Author Reply: Yes. I suspect you're absolutely right. :-P I mean, Elrond is wise and knows much, but there are always some things about their children of which parents are unaware ...

Thanks so much for reading and commenting, I'm happy you're enjoying! :-)

I loved everything about this chapter. You write this little family's relationship so well. And look at that, some of the mystery from the other side unfolding! I'm glad no one was really "blamed" and they seemed calm and level-headed enough to focus on the now rather than dwell on the series of benign choices that conspired against them. I hope you continue that part as well.

Author Reply: Thank you! I had a lot of fun writing it. :-)

I think in the heat of the moment, everyone tends to take on themselves some blame for things in which they have played some part. But I would hope (and this is just me, thinking 'wouldn't that be nice' :-P) that part of having a very long life would be learning how to sift through those things we do and don't have control over, and learning how to let go of those things that we know we *didn't* have control over ...

His brother lifted one eyebrow, returning to his scattered offerings. “And I did not miss the mushrooms. I do not care for them, and I therefore did not bother to gather any as I passed.”

Elrohir snorted, moving past to spread Glorfindel’s wet tunic out on top of a pack. “He missed the mushrooms, Estel. Don’t let him tell you otherwise.”

What a delightful detail in a thoroughly delightful chapter.

Author Reply: Thank you! I really had a lot of fun with this one. I didn't actually have much of an idea when I started it how the reunion would go, and I was really pretty happy with the way it turned out... :-)
