Oh, indeed this fable is one to study upon! I wish to detern coyote and other predatory activity on my land, but do not wish to actually hurt them, so have figured out one strategy to hopefully reroute them elsewhere; but where would we be if in seeking to destroy one competitor we end up killing our land as these people did?
