Ah, but bless their hostess and her children. At least she knows the true meaning of hospitality, and both Aragorn and Halbarad will be strengthened ere they're turned out into the weather again. Love this family Aragorn and his kinsman have stumbled upon.

"Somehow, despite all appearances, she knew they meant her no harm." Of course she knew. When has anyone from Staddle or Bree ever been hurt by a Ranger? Lovely hobbity common sense.

No wonder Aragorn loves hobbits so! The kindness he has always received from them certainly paved his way to the throne. Excellent story. Thank you.

The beginning of the story was so painfully depressing that it really showed just how dangerous it must have been to be a ranger. No supplies, no help, just the two of them and some trolls. Aragorn had to show, again, why he is called the most hardy of men of his time. It is a miracle that Halbarad survived to fight in the war of the Ring, if that was not even the worst wound he had got. It is somehow sweet that hobbits build even the stables the same way they build their houses. It must have been a shock to find a pair of untidy giants in the stable, but the hobbit was so kind to let them stay there. A lovely end to this kind of story, they even got a nice breakfast.

What a wonderful ending to such a desperate tale. Bless hobbits for having the good sense to know that a person needed to *eat*. I enjoyed this very much.
