I am enjoying this gentle tale! Thank you. 😊

Author Reply: Thank you, Bitsay. Happy hobbits make me happy! I spent a lovely day today working on chapter 4. :)

Ooh, a cliffhanger! I admit I have no idea what they have planned for the candlewax to help Frodo, but I am intrigued and anxious to find out. I hope it won't be long until chapter 4!!

Author Reply: I do love fluffy cliffhangers! I *hope* to start writing chapter 4 this week, even with visitors coming to town -- five cousins, one niece, and a couple of friends!

“Gimli, is there anything about this camp you don’t know?” Pippin asked in admiration.
Gimli just chuckled, his eyes twinkling.

That was a nice first meeting. And to make it perfect it ended with a cliff-hanger, one of the good sort ;-)

Now I am really curious to find out more about the wax!

Author Reply: Thank goodness some 'cliffies' are fluffier than others. I imagine Dwarves to be very resourceful and determined, and I know that Gimli would do anything for 'his hobbits'.

Thank you, Andrea! :)

I'm so happy you finally have time to write again and to pick up this lovely tale. I can see these two men being brought into the magic of hobbit common sense, but still able to contribute their own wisdom to the benefit of all. I'm really enjoying this tale, my friend.

Author Reply: What a lovely review, thank you. Being able to write again, a bit here and a bit there, is a vast improvement over the craziness of the past couple of months.

Love all of this. So much joy and warmth in it :))

My favorite part : “Pippin is a knight of Gondor, acclaimed for his deeds,” Frodo said, his eyes beaming with pride, “and King Éomer honored Merry for service to Rohan, saving Lady Éowyn's life, and aiding in killing the Dark Lord’s servant, the Witch King of Angmar. I wish I had awoken in time for the ceremonies.”

And so much love!!

Author Reply: Thank you, Layne. Three cheers for hobbity love!

Hey, no fair leaving me curious! I want to know how this candlewax is going to help Frodo. Are Caladir and Delumir going to try to help Sam finish healing, too?

Author Reply: *grins* We'll have to wait and see! Thank you for reading, Kathy.

Ah, yes, brushes often appear to desire to escape their duties. I have scads of them but the best of them love to hide from me. Pens are equally desirous of vacations, and scissors simply scurry away to hide under whatever they can find to hide under.

Now, to see what Frodo might find therapeutic regarding candle wax!

Author Reply: LOL, Shiremom and I went on a scissors-hunt just the other day.

What a great story Shire, Now I'm bouncing around like a hobbit in suspense. I love how you are portraying the hobbits interacting with each other. I can literally picture in my mind each one's personality. You have really written them well.

now what's up with the wax.

Author Reply: Thank you for your lovely words. I'm rather insatiable when it comes to imagining our hobbits during the relaxed, stress-free times of their lives. They most certainly deserve these sweet moments together.

What is up with the wax? *ponders*

You made me hungry reading this.

I'm very curious what the wax is for.

Love the way the Hobbits make friends so easily.

Author Reply: Thank you. I really love reading (and writing) about food and feasts!
