...only that deep in that place where a bird senses direction and purpose, the Voice had whispered, Well done. That was beautiful! Thank you very much. Author Reply: Thank you, Andrea. :)

I agree, that last paragraph is lovely. Our Creator can indeed guide anyone who is willing to listen to help him fulfill his purposes. I only hope that when a time comes that I am needed that I can respond as well as your little thrush! One of my favorite moments of P.J.'s movie was the instant when Martin Freeman's Bilbo realized that the light of the moon counted too! Author Reply: Thank you. I do believe that it's often in the unremarkable, quiet moments that a whisper of direction and purpose can be sensed.

Love this! Especially that last para ... so right. Very touching. Thanks so much for writing. Author Reply: Thank you! I re-wrote that final paragraph so many times, and I'm so glad to know that it moved you. :)

Very nice! It would be interesting to learn what, if any, went through the thrush's mind when it alerted Bilbo to the presence of the spot where the door was. Author Reply: I do love pondering these small -- but significant -- beings in the Professor's world. :)
