Ah, it does sound like all's well in the end with all of the children's adventures to this point. Now, just waiting for the big reunion.

Author Reply: Yeah, no kidding! =) K.G.

All have had some fault in their mistakes, but not all misunderstandings or accidents are due to the fault of just one agent or act. So it is with all of the situations faced by the McCloud family at the moment. And the words spoken in Steve's heart are true--we need freedom in order to learn as much from our mistakes as from the teaching given us by others.

Author Reply: That's true. Kaylee will definitely have the chance to learn from hers, as will the rest of her family. K.G.

"You have been as brave as a hobbit" ... I do love that new Gondorian saying!

Author Reply: You can thank Dreamflower for that saying; she came up with it! =) K.G.

Ah, good. Now if we can only be as at ease about Joey, Jenn and Kevin. Several someones do seem to be watching over the children and whole family well. Makes you wonder sometimes how our guardian angels survive watching our lives and the almost heart attacks we must surely give them.

Author Reply: Yeah, isn't that the truth?! K.G.

Being tired and/or excited can lead to such mistakes. May they all find comfort in the fact they are together and have others to aid and comfort them as they learn more and do their best to make things better.

Author Reply: Definitely! I agree. And Jennifer's near mistake arose from the fact that she was too tired, and from the fact that she can't read Westron very well. K.G.

The poor children. I'm sorry that Kaylee is blaming herself for Sador's injury, but at least they are close enough to the apothecary shop to get the aid needed.

Author Reply: And thank goodness for that! Sad to say, she IS blaming herself for Sador's injuries, but although she is indeed at fault for failing to obey her father's order to stick to the Citadel gardens and the Houses of Healing, she's not to blame for a cart driver driving too fast down a city street. The children are certainly learning some important and life-changing lessons.

Author Reply: All four of them are, yeah! Most definitely. K.G.

Oh my, all the bigger kids are having problems in the last two chapters. But they have also been a good help to resolve the problems too.

Author Reply: Yeah, aren't they, though?! Thank goodness they do have help in resolving them. K.G.

Oh, dear! Poor Kaylee!

(I wonder what kind of uproar might arise when she is not where she is supposed to be... but it's a good thing Lucy was there to fetch the apothecary!)

Reading the details about the apothecary shop was fascinating.

Looking forward to reading more!

Author Reply: It sure is, isn't it?

Glad you're enjoying the story! K.G.

A special moment of thanks properly shared with their friends, who understand more than the three modern children realize.

How sore those who are riding must get after most of the day in the saddle!

Author Reply: It's most fortunate for Kevin, Jennifer, and Joey that their friends do understand so well.

And you're not kidding about riding! K.G.
