Wingfoot  by quodamat 1 Review(s)
LevadeReviewed Chapter: 3 on 10/21/2018
I forgot to add...Uncle Eomer King. :D!!! I love that. And here, Uncle Aragorn King. I am crying I'm laughing so hard. Maybe it was just me who was this kind of kid but I doubt it -- apparently you were too. :D

“And Eärendil,” Tungol supplied. “Because Faelivrin wouldn't be Lúthien anymore, and Huan wanted to fly like the horse, and race, like Elfwine said, but Leoflic didn’t want to be upside-down and slow, so I said he could be Eärendil, and it was just like the dog at Dol Amroth, the one that was racing the ship with the captain that waved to me, no matter what Elboron says. And so we were racing! And that's why we were—”

Is it sad that my mind still works this way at times? This is exactly the kind of thing kiddos say and I love it.

Éomer blinked. “Will he what?”

Tungol heaved a long-suffering sigh. “Give us a ride,” he repeated.

Hahahaha! Love Eomer's reaction. He is the kind of guy who strikes me as loving to get his kids going like this and then join in all the rough-housing.

On to finding out exactly what...or whom this Wingfoot is... ;D

Author Reply: Haha, yep, I was totally that kid, at least as far as the tendency to absurdist wordplay is concerned. And my mind totally works in the digressive way Tungol talks. Realistically, that's probably about what I sound like when I try to tell a story while over-excited.

Yep, that's pretty much how I imagined Eomer too. He just didn't anticipate exponential increase in zaniness you get when you double the number of kids!
