| Wow - amazing story! Both heart-wrenching and heart-warming. I really felt for poor Erestor, first as a little boy trying so hard to help the grown-ups by being brave, and then as an adult carrying such a burden of guilt for just trying to survive the crimes of others. This made me fall in love with Glorfindel all over again. I also like the lighter notes at the beginning of the story. “I heard it from my cousin. His son is a page to Lord Elrond’s scribe’s brother!” Priceless. Author Reply: Thaonks! I'd definitely not want to be Erestor in this situation, and I really like Glorfindel, too. I'm glad you enjoyed the lighter bits. That sort of thing really is how stories spread, though. | |
