Harrowcatliz is right - the Gift of Empathy is a real blessing to receive but sometimes extremely hard on the giver. This story is touching - like others written by you, of course. Only a thing baffled me a bit: at some point, Frodo calls Lacey “child”… why? P.S. I left a review for the 11th chapter of “Second Mum” and another review for “Weaving Dreams”. I look forward to your reply - well, I don’t want to hurry you up, but I hope you will read my requests.

Thank you s much for this. It feels so very right, poor Lacey. And doubtless she was not the only one. The line that really made her so very real to me was this; “It’s good enough,” It is so much what people I know would say!

And how lovely to find another story by you! Thank you for this, I did enjoy seeing Frodo find joy in Lacey's healing.

That was a mighty gift Frodo gave to the lass - she has the gem just for a few hours and makes a miraculous recovery. Really goes to show his great heart and also the depth of his own horrific suffering that it could not accomplish the same miracle within himself. Whoa. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) P.S. Check out my new website and book on Bilbo and Frodo which I know you will love! (ofagespast.com)

When you sat down aside me in that corner, it was as if the light had come back again after a long darkness. What a lovely vision for her, and for us. I greatly appreciate stories where it's Frodo doing the healing, whether consciously or not. Your details about Shire life are marvelous as always. Author Reply: Frodo had his own portion of healing ability, whether or not he appreciated that idea. And I love imagining how the Shire must have run.
