Isildurchil Dithen  by Kaylee Arafinwiel 8 Review(s)

"The Elves are good."

"They are good, yes, but that is not to say they are tame, heh?"

*grins* I like that.

It's very logical that Faramir's dreams are clear and important, and now he can tell them to people who will see their (and his) value.

Author Reply: I'm so glad you like it, Shirebound! Thank you so much for your lovely reviews.

How long had this sweet little boy been downtrodden by his seeming sire?

That's so heartbreaking. It's wonderful that the lad is now surrounded by wise and compassionate people.

Author Reply: Ack! How did I miss these reviews for so long - I'm sorry, Shirebound!

It is heartbreaking, I'm so glad you like the change in Faramir's circumstances!

It's always good to see the fascinating Morwen of Lossarnach.

I don't see how Theoden would refuse to send Faramir back to Gondor, though; Theoden and Denethor are allies; it would be a huge betrayal of that long alliance for Theoden to do otherwise.

Author Reply: It would, of course, but Theoden's more than a little concerned about the fact that Denethor has demanded a five-year-old be returned to Gondor for judgement. I've added a couple more chapters that will hopefully explain Theoden's reasoning better. Morwen's been fun to write, so I'm glad you liked her. Her role in the story is far from over!

I've got more chapters written, but I need to do more before I get back to posting, I think.

Interesting premise. I wonder what kind of father Aragorn will be to Faramir; mostly absent, I'd think, but still giving him more kindness than Denethor could as well as many loving relatives.

Looking forward to more.

Author Reply: Thank you Raksha! I'm glad you find it interesting. I hope you'll like the rest of it - the story's still in progress, but I do have more chapters ready to post.

Faramir’s old clothes were left behind, stained with the blood of the rabbit Orodben had used in the stew.

Oh my, that's clever.

Author Reply: Thank you so much! I think so too. It might fool some, at any rate...

I hope nothing will befall them, either! It would be wonderful if Faramir found happiness and purpose in the North, with his father and his people.

Author Reply: Oh yes, I could never give Faramir anything other than a happy ending! It's how to get him there, though, that's the trouble! :)

Very interesting start to the story. Little Faramir is so cute! And clever, too. I'm invested in how you will continue.

Author Reply: Thank you Robbie! He is a clever lad, I think, and I definitely was trying for cute, so glad you agree! I'm sorry I was late on replying - SOA notifications are kind of wonky sometimes. I've continued, and there's more chapters ahead!

Oh, I like this! Such a lost and sad little boy, on his way to a brighter and more secure future. I look forward to reading more.
