The Soldier sleeps no More  by Linda Hoyland 5 Review(s)

Another small masterpiece from your talented hand! I always enjoy your writing-you can make me smile, cry, and laugh within a matter of minutes, and it always feels genuine and correct. In this vignette, you've done a lovely job of conveying so many big feelings and heavy concerns, and then ending with a truly heartwarming image. I'll be smiling about that robin's nest for a while!

Linda!

I really liked this! Both Aragorn and Faramir as honorable men and soldiers would have these doubts and I think you dealt with these issues really well! I love the way the challenge ideas were woven into the story. It read very smoothly, if you hadn't have mentioned it I would not have noticed that it was a word challenge. Nicely done!

It's wonderful that these two good men are able to share their deepest thoughts, and let the other know that he's not alone. You end this with a sight that would fill both of them with joy and hope. Just lovely.
