If only Elrond knew his brother will one day sail to Numenor and return not to Arda. Love love love this series! More please thank you as always dear. Aran Author Reply: I am glad you like it! Thank you for reviewing!

So Cirdan has The Sight too? A lovely ending. It is good to see Elros happy, though we sadly know where that will lead... Author Reply: Thank you! I am very glad you like it! Círdan should have some knowledge about the plans of the Valar, whether by foresight or by direct communication with Ulmo. We know from the Quenta that the latter happens (Ulmo warned Círdan about the peril to Nargothrond), so I think it is logical to conclude that he would be notified in a matter of such importance as well.

Another sad story, beautifully told. It seems that Elrond has grown enough into his Gift of the Sight, that he realizes that his earlier childhood dreams (of being separated from Elros) were true foretellings of what is to come. I suspect that even though the inevitable parting is long expected, it won't be easier for him to bear. (While you write beautifully, and your depiction of nature is flawless (and *almost* makes me want to take a trip to the beach), is it too much to hope that at some time we will be gifted with a story that is not full of angst? Lol!) Author Reply: Thank you so much for the review! Concerning your question - this is complicated. :-) There is definitely a possibility for something with less angst in it, but I am not certain I will be able to forego that aspect completely. Tolkien's universe (at least how I see it) is saturated with complex emotional and ethical issues (I have never understood the critics who assert that Tolkien's characters are 'either good or bad'!), and I think this complexity involves a good deal of angst as well. Also, the characters who happen to be my favourites, literally have 'angst' tagged to them. :-D There is, of course, also the question of context. All these stories are written during last one-and-half year which has been emotionally and psychologically draining for many, me included. So, I guess, they have also been a kind of self-therapy, a way of escape and an opportunity to transform my own emotions through a story of my favourite characters.

Nicely done. Any ellith in the Feanorian party? Aran Author Reply: Thank you! That is up to reader's imagination. :-) I like to leave blank spots instead of telling everything!

You elevate me. More and more. Through this latest chapter I can surmise it is no wonder Elros chose to become mortal and die. He couldn't bear a lifetime of tragic memories unlike Elrond. Agree? Aran Author Reply: Thank you for the review! I am kind of building towards that choice, yes, even though this will not happen in this story (spoiler alert!) . ;-)
