| Utterly delightful! Trust the Hobbits, the nature-loving children of the green and pleasant land that one day will become the British Isles, to create such lovely tales. And what a clever mother, to protect both the garden AND the snails. I wish that it was time for spring and gardens in the American Rocky Mountain valleys already. We received more snow just a few days ago. There is a bit of hope, tho. The restaurant where I work was unknowingly built atop a thriving ant colony. Yesterday I saw a sure sign of spring for us; the first swarm of ants of this year had crept in under a garbage bin! |
