| Hello Shirebund, Oh poor Pippin! Sometimes it's the most inncoent thing that can trigger a flashback and Merry's earlier comments seemed to be his. How like Merry to berate himself for Pippin's hurts, even though it was unintentionally done. And Frodo's words to Sam outside the room were very moving. Beautifully written work.
