Thank you for sharing this sad news. I have thought about Dreamflower often since I lost contact with her. We worked together a fair bit when the Middle-Earth Fanfiction Awards were running and she was a faithful commenter on many of my stories. I am sad to hear this news but grateful for her life. I shall reread some of my favorites of her stories in celebration of all she shared with us.

May she rest in peace and always know that that she has a huge place in fandom and in our hearts forever.

PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way.

GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.

PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what?

GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.

:*( :prayers:

I am saddened to hear of Dreamflower's passing. When one of us passed we are deprived of her adding to our light. We will always have her stories, though.

I quote the Professor's words:

The journey doesn't end here.
Death is just another path.
One that we all must take.

The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back,
And all turns to silver glass.
And then you see it, white shores and beyond.

A far green country under a swift sunrise.

Dreamflower

Though we never met personally we are all bound by our love of Middle Earth and the man who gifted it to us.

(((hugs)))

This news makes my heart truly ache. For many, many years Dreamflower and I read and reviewed each other's hobbity tales, and I still treasure a clay "plot bunny" that she crafted and sent me. What a truly special friend, and wonderful writer. I especially always loved her epic and creative "Miss Dora Baggins' Book of Manners", which is among my favorites of her tales.

Barbara, may the white sands of that far green country be warm under your feet as you now rejoice, without pain or fear, in the Great Music of the sea and stars, gentle breezes in the trees, Eagles soaring quietly above snowy peaks, and the unrestrained laughter of hobbits that will forever mingle with your own.

Thank you, Lindelea, for letting us know.
