The story of Aragorn and Arwen has always had potential for angst because of all she gave up to be with him and to me personally I have always found their story to be angsty but a VERY beautiful love story as well! I had to mark the departure of Bilbo and Frodo from Middle-earth and I couldn't think of a better way than to have Arwen "witness" their departure - and I also couldn't resist acknowledging the beautiful love between her and Aragorn in this piece either as their story is one of my favorite elements of LOTR!
