Ties of Love  by Avon 5 Review(s)

Oh, God, it's so sad and so beautiful! I can see Faramir doing just that - and Boromir telling Pippin the story. It's such a shame that Boromir had to die... he was a great leader of Men and would have made a great father, too, I think.

Very good story, I liked the style with the flashbacks. Very plausible "superstition" too, if you hadn't confessed to making it up I would've gone on believing it was an old Gondorian custom. XD It was sweet, though, poor Faramir! And Pippin, of course he would be the one to ask!

I really like stories that add depth to the brother's lives.

This was very moving. The "made up superstition" rang true. I believed it could exist in reality. It's interesting how deeply felt some of these superstition stories turned out to be. I suppose superstition is often linked to the more important areas of our lives.

Author Reply: *grin* Well, given how this superstition just arrived ready-made in my mind perhaps I was tapping into some collective unconsciousness and it is real - in some universe or other ;-)

Thanks,

Avon
